Questions about your Aon MasterTrust benefits?

If you have questions about your Aon MasterTrust benefits, contact the Administrators of the Aon MasterTrust:

If you need financial advice

The law does not allow anyone associated with the Scheme, the Aon MasterTrust, or anyone at Aon, to advise you about your pension benefits or retirement planning. If you would like advice, talk to an independent financial adviser.

Financial advice

Remember: the Scheme will pay for eligible members to receive one round of impartial financial advice from Origen Financial Services Limited.

This is a valuable benefit, which we encourage all eligible members to use.

For full details of eligibility criteria and this offer, go to Active / Deferred page.

Alternative financial advice

Please check that any IFA you are thinking of appointing is suitably authorised and qualified.

You can do this at the Financial Conduct Authority's website: www.fca.org.uk, or by phoning the Financial Conduct Authority Helpline on 0800 111 6768

You will have to pay for any advice you receive from an alternative financial adviser (or from Origen if you are not eligible for paid-for advice).

Other useful organisations

Here is a list of some organisations you may find useful.

MoneyHelper

MoneyHelper is an independent non-profit organisation that provides information and guidance on pensions.

Pensions Ombudsman

The Pensions Ombudsman has legal powers to settle complaints and disputes about pensions.

You generally need to try and resolve your complaint using your pension scheme’s complaints process, but you can ask the Ombudsman for help at any time.

Pension Protection Fund

The Pension Protection Fund (‘PPF’) www.pensionprotectionfund.org.uk was set up as a ‘safety net’ for DB pension scheme members whose schemes wind up (come to an end) and their employer is unable to cover the cost of providing the pensions (because it is insolvent, for example).

The PPF can pay compensation to people who are in danger of losing their pensions in this way.

If you transfer your benefits out of the Scheme they may no longer be covered by the PPF. They might be covered by other types of protection such as the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (www.fscs.org.uk).
